LinearGame, an AI-native game startup with operations in the US and Singapore, has closed a multi-million-dollar pre-seed round led by HT Opportunity Fund, with additional investment from angel backers across the gaming and AI ecosystems. The funding will accelerate the company’s mission to redefine how cinematic, choice-driven games are created and consumed.
LinearGame is developing Yoroll.ai, a video-first platform that allows creators to transform text prompts, images and short clips into branching, cinematic interactive games. Instead of relying on heavyweight 3D engines, Yoroll.ai uses generative video models as the rendering layer, while handling branching logic, game state and decision trees behind the scenes.
The company’s pitch to investors centers on accessibility: Yoroll.ai is designed to lower the barrier to entry for TikTok-era storytellers, indie filmmakers and novelists looking to break into the games market. Creators can describe scenes, upload reference images and define key choices, while the platform automatically generates connected video segments and inserts gameplay elements such as decisions and quick time events — all without coding or 3D tools.
To showcase its technology and seed premium content, LinearGame is also launching LinearGame Studio, its first-party publishing label. The studio is currently developing several interactive, film-inspired titles across high-engagement genres such as romance, supernatural thriller and mystery.
LinearGame has additionally signed a collaboration with Odyssey.ml, whose AI tools will be integrated into Yoroll.ai’s pipeline to streamline workflows.
Proceeds from the round will be used to scale engineering and content teams, accelerate the closed beta of Yoroll.ai, and prepare the company’s first wave of titles for release across PC, console, mobile and web. LinearGame positions itself at the convergence of three rapidly expanding markets: generative AI, video streaming and interactive gaming, a space the company expects to grow quickly as AI-native content formats mature.
